This large dog bowl was thrown on the wheel and fired to vitrification for strength and durability. A long heat soak at 2300 degrees allowed the glazes time to run, mingle, and produce colors that are rich and complex. See detail picture. It also has a nice "drips" running off the pot.
Wider at bottom so it will not tip over and heavy enough to make it harder to slide across the floor.
About 9 inches wide at top and 10 at the bottom. About 4 inches high. Holds about 14 cups.
Food-safe. Okay in microwave and dishwasher.
